This position supports the further development of the Chair’s Master module "Tractor Engineering Fundamentals" – a 5 ECTS winter-semester course covering the history, mechanics and chassis design of tractors, diesel engines, transmissions and drive technologies, terramechanics, cabin ergonomics, legal requirements, standardization, tractor-implement connection and tractor testing. Your tasks include revising and updating the lecture slides and exercise materials, developing and testing new exercises and worked examples, helping to prepare the full-day excursion and the Field Day experiments with a real tractor, supporting the digitalisation of course content, and assisting with the general organisation of the module.
- Requirements
- Currently enrolled student (Bachelor’s or Master’s) at TUM in mechanical engineering, agricultural / bio-resource engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field
- Interest in tractor technology, agricultural machinery or vehicle engineering (e.g. drivetrains, transmissions, terramechanics, or automation); relevant coursework is a plus
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good command of German is an advantage, as some course materials and excursions may be in German
- Reliable, independent way of working and confidence with common tools (e.g. PowerPoint and/or LaTeX; CAD or simple simulation software is a plus)
