Description

The Chair of Astrodynamics is developing small-scale spacecraft demonstrators to support research and education in spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control.

This engineering project continues ongoing development efforts aimed at improving the current state of an existing laboratory system. The project focuses on improving the mechanical and system-level design of the demonstrator.

The exact scope of the thesis is flexible and can be adapted to the students’ background, prior experience, and interests.

The work will be embedded in a collaborative research environment together with other thesis students and researchers at the Chair.

This project is intended for 2-3 students. Therefore, feel free to apply either as a group or individually.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of structural design methods

  • Experience with CAD software

  • Elementary programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or Rust
