Description

This master thesis investigates the future of intelligent service robotics through a humanoid robot operating in a simulated supermarket environment. Instead of following rigid pre-programmed commands, the robot is designed to interact naturally with humans, understand high-level requests, and make context-aware decisions. For instance, when a user asks for a bottle of water, the robot autonomously navigates the supermarket, locates the appropriate product section, evaluates available options, and engages in a spoken dialogue to clarify preferences such as sparkling or still water, preferred brands, or other product characteristics.
