Beschreibung

Background

Sustainable food production is becoming increasingly important as global resources become more limited. Continuous bioprocessing offers promising opportunities to improve efficiency in alternative protein production.
This project focuses on performing a techno-economic assessment of an integrated bioprocessthat converts food industry sidestreams into valuable protein products. The analysis will be based on available experimental data and literature research.
The goal is to evaluate economic feasibility, identify key cost drivers, and assess how process design choices influence overall process performance and scalability.

Objectives

1. Collect and evaluate experimental and literature data
2. Perform a techno-economic analysis of the integrated process
3. Identify major cost drivers and improvement opportunities
4. Assess scale-up and process scenarios
