Motivation
The electrical cabinet of the current construction robot has reached its spatial and functional limits. With the integration of a larger onboard computer, additional GPS boards, and a cooling system, a redesign of the cabinet is necessary. The goal is to create a more spacious and efficient electrical cabinet that ensures reliable operation, proper heat management, and compact integration within the robot’s existing housing.
Objectives & Tasks
1. Analysis of the Current Electrical System- Review the existing cabinet layout and wiring.
- Identify limitations related to space, power supply, and thermal management.
2. Design of a New Electrical Cabinet. Propose a layout to accommodate:
- A larger onboard computer.
- Two GPS boards.
- A cooling fan system for heat dissipation and airflow.
- Ensure the cabinet remains compact and fits within the robot’s housing panel.
3. Power Supply Upgrade
- Assess the robot’s electrical requirements with the new computation load.
- Propose and integrate a more suitable power source.
4. Implementation & Prototyping
- Build and test the redesigned electrical cabinet.
- Verify thermal performance and stability of the system.
5. Documentation
- Deliver a complete electrical diagram of the system.
- Provide technical documentation for future maintenance and scalability.
