Beschreibung

Dear Students,

We are looking for a motivated individual to extend the content of future Structural Optimization 2 tutorials at our chair (start: October 2025, 3h\week).

 

Tasks:

• Research and implementation of model order reduction techniques for optimization workflow
• Parameter study of finite element method simulations
• Implementation of neural networks as surrogate models

Voraussetzungen

We are looking for candidates who:

• Completed a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a related subject
• Currently enrolled in a master’s Program at TUM
• Experienced in coding with Python and Matlab
• Have experience with finite elements codes
• Interest on optimization and model order reduction

Nice to have experience/knowledge in:

• Git
• Finite cell method
• Isogeometric analysis
• Model order reduction
• Pytorch

This position will provide you with the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in simulation and optimization technologies, improve research skills, and gain practical experience in research workflow
