Also possible as IDP, research internship (Forschungspraxis), guided research, etc.

This research aims to enhance outdoor localization techniques using visual input to assist in guiding blind individuals. The project focuses on developing advanced algorithms that leverage visual data from wearable cameras to accurately determine the user’s location in various outdoor environments. By integrating computer vision techniques with existing localization methods, the research seeks to improve the precision and reliability of navigation aids. The effectiveness of these improved localization methods will be tested through extensive field trials, assessing their impact on the independence and safety of blind users during outdoor activities.
