Beschreibung

In this HiWi position you will support the development of path tracking control methods for autonomous driving in agricultural off-road applications. The tasks focus on implementation of “classical” path tracking methods in Matlab/Simulink, and developing testing utilities to assess the performance of the methods. The tasks also include study of relevant literature and participating in scientific writing.

The number of working hours can be from 7 to 20 hours per week, arranged on workdays that fit the student's schedule. The Chair of Agrimechatronics operates mainly in Freising/Weihenstephan (Dürnast). Partially remote work is possible.

Voraussetzungen

Your qualifications:

  • Good or intermediate skills in one or several of the following topics: software development, algorithm development, path tracking, matrix algebra, robotics, autonomous driving
  • Good programming skills in one or several languages: Matlab, Simulink, Python, C/C++
  • Practical experience with agricultural machinery and farming is beneficial
  • Fluent language skills in written and spoken English
