I am pleased to announce the opportunity for a student assistant (HiWi) position at our chair (start: October 2024, 3h\week). We are looking for a motivated individual to extend the content of future Structural Optimization 2 tutorials.

Tasks: 

• Transferring explicit Deep-Drawing from LS-DYNA to OpenRadioss
• Research (and implementation) of open-source OneStep simulations (e.g. Kratos, OpenRadioss)
• Benchmarking open-source optimization code

This position will provide you with the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in simulation and optimization technologies, improve research skills, and gain practical experience with open-source software tools.

Voraussetzungen

• completed Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related subject
• currently enrolled at a German university
• Experienced in coding with Python
• Familiarity with OpenRadioss (or Kratos) is a plus
• Interest in or experience with open-source simulation software and optimization
