Beschreibung

The TUM project weeks give students the opportunity to conduct research on future topics in areas such as health, digitalization and design. In this context, the research group “ForNeRo” (https://fornero.ed.tum.de/), which works on the improved integration of robots into clinical processes, offers the project Applied Surgineering. In this project, students observe operations at the Klinikum rechts der Isar (MRI) to familiarize themselves with clinical procedures. They then study methods of the human-centered design process in order to independently develop and evaluate solutions for current medical technology problems.

In preparation for this project, we are currently looking for a student assistant from October 2024 to December 2025  who will be involved in the planning and practical implementation of the project week in cooperation with various partners of the TUM and the MRI.

Your tasks will include the selection and procurement of the necessary technical material, the preparation of teaching content and scientific mentoring of the students. You will work together with lecturers and professors from TUM and MRI, but also perform tasks independently.

The employment offers you the opportunity to visit real operating theaters, learn clinical processes first-hand, get to know methods of product development and practically apply your engineering knowledge to current problems in medical technology.

For aplications please send a transcript of records and a short motivaional text to to max.bergholz@tum.de
