Beschreibung

Vehicles with automated driving systems (ADS) are not going to replace human-driven vehicles (HVs) overnight. Conceptualizing the behavior of ADS in interactive scenarios with HVs in this transition stage is a challenging task. So far, interactions among traffic participants have been neglected during the development of ADS. Therefore, this work focuses on incorporating human factors and driver behavioral mechanisms in the behavioral planning of ADS to generate human-like behavior.

Tasks:

•Literature research: motion planning, driver behavioral mechanisms

•Development of a new approach for ADS behavioral planning

•Implementation and optimization of the new approach in a simulation tool

•Analyzing the performance of the new approach

Voraussetzungen

•Basic knowledge in the field of automated driving and algorithms

•Good programming experience (Python/Java/C++)

•High level of engagement

•Passion for challenges, problem-solving skills

•Scientific, structured, and intuitive working strategies
