Beschreibung

Unlike on-road, off-road vehicles such as agricultural machines (tractors, combine harvesters, sprayers, etc.) operate on unstructured and uneven terrain. As a result, the machines are affected by significant vibrations, which vary over time due to differences in the operating environment, the machine’s working status, and more. Since vibrations are a driving aspect for fatigue and greatly influence sensor readings, the type and strength of vibrations for a defined set of operations are of interest and should be classified within this thesis.
The topic includes:

  • Working with a microcontroller and IMU to create a logging device
  • Planning and participating field tests
  • Evaluation of vibration records and development of a classification strategy
